Routing: This flat route, which mostly leads along the Leutascher Ache River, takes you to the end of the Leutasch Valley and thus also to the Bavarian border and the historic frontier fortification of ‚Schanz‘. Numerous magnificent panorama views dot the trail. Down the valley there are superb views of the Wetterstein Massif, the Ahrnspitze and the Karwendel Massif. On the return path, you gaze at the Hohe Munde, the Gaistal valley and the peaks of the nearby Inn Valley. The Gletscherschliff Trail starts at the end of the valley and then continues to Mittenwald. The indicated running time is a guideline and depends on personal fitness.
