Perfect for fishing or strolling around
The lake, the Weidachsee, is set in beautiful alpine countryside in the Leutasch valley. It has a long history and is described in Emperor Maximilian’s famous fishing book from the year 1500 as ‘the soul of Leutasch’. The wide paths around the lake are perfect for taking a stroll and are suitable for families with push-chairs.
The Leutasch Fishery offers you the chance to fish in the lake and since there is no need to have a fishing licence, the fishing pond is a great place for beginners to have a go. If you like fish but are not interested in fishing, you can have a look in the Fischladele on-site shop for some freshly-caught trout or char.
Once you have finished fishing or walking around the lake, you can relax on the café’s sun terrace and if you are feeling particularly hungry, you can visit the nearby Forellenhof restaurant.
Please note that this is not a bathing lake.
