An atmosphere that lights you up!
Seefeld Magic of Lights

The Seefeld Magic of Lights is closed for the 2025/2026 winter season.
From 1 November 2026, Seefeld Magic of Lights will transform the entire village into a sea of light. From the Kurpark and village square to the Seekirchl and the Olympia Sports and Congress Centre, international artists have created impressive light installations. These can be admired daily from 16:00 to 22:00 and invite visitors to enjoy a relaxed evening stroll. A true highlight of Seefeld Magic of Lights is the 100,000 Lights Path leading over the Pfarrhügel hill.
The atmosphere becomes especially enjoyable from 20 November 2026 to 06 January 2027, when the Christmas market in the historic village centre adds even more charm to a visit. After this magical period, some installations and culinary delights take a seasonal break, but the entire village continues to sparkle with playful light creations right through to the end of winter.
Particular attention has been given to the careful management of light emissions, the long lifespan of the LED lighting used and low energy consumption in the realisation of Seefeld Magic of Lights.
Important note:
- Opening hours: Seefeld Magic of Lights is currently closed. The light installations will be on display again daily from 1 November 2026, from 16:00 to 22:00.
- How to get there: Seefeld railway station is easy to reach by public transport as it is located right next to the pedestrian zone. Lines 434, 433, 430 and 432 as well as regional and suburban trains run directly to the station. So leave your car parked and enjoy your mulled wine without any worries.
- Important: The PlateauCard guest card is valid as a public transport ticket in the region!

Light installations in Seefeld

Since 29.01. until 01.03. | AT THE VILLAGE SQUARE
Sky of Lights
Since 29 January, a new attraction will create a special evening atmosphere at the village square. The “Sound to Light” shows take place daily from 18.00 to 21.00, every 20 minutes – on the hour as well as at 20 and 40 minutes past. For anyone missing the Christmas market, this setting of darkness, sparkling lights and the 100,000 Lights Walk offers a beautifully atmospheric alternative.

Unicorn
his mythical creature is deeply connected to Seefeld’s history. It not only graces the town’s coat of arms but also plays a role in the legendary Miracle of the Host at St. Oswald’s Parish Church. As a glowing installation at the Seefeld Light Magic, the unicorn reflects this special link between history and enchantment.
