Local Tax Region Seefeld
The accommodation tax in the Seefeld region is primarily used for infrastructure facilities, tourism offers, and events in our region. The Seefeld Tourism Association marks and signs all paths and manages about 650 kilometers of hiking trails, 570 kilometers of bike routes, 140 kilometers of winter hiking trails, 245 kilometers of cross-country skiing trails, as well as hiking benches and garbage bins. Furthermore, the Tourism Association acts as an important financial partner for infrastructure facilities such as swimming pools, ice skating rinks, and tennis halls, enabling the diverse leisure offerings in the region to be maintained. The Tourism Association also supports numerous plateau initiatives related to regionality and sustainability. In addition, investments are made in forward-looking mobility and energy concepts in close collaboration with the municipalities of the region, such as the expansion of the public transport network.
Who is subject to the tax?
In Tyrol, all overnight stays in are subject to the tax:
- Accommodation establishments
- in leisure residences that are rented out to different guests.
Among others, overnight stays of persons until the end of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 15 are exempt from the tax.
The tax obligation starts with the first overnight stay and ends with the last. As of May 1, 2026, the local tax amounts to € 5.00.

How can you participate?
- Selected experiences can be booked with your landlord, online through the experience shop, and in person at all information offices in the region.
- Timely registration is requested. The booking confirmation of the booked experience and the PlateauCard must be presented to the guide.
- The minimum number of participants is three, unless otherwise stated.
