Course Routes & Elevation Profiles

The 23.5 km classic course of the Ganghoferlauf offers everything an experienced classic skier is looking for: challenging climbs and descents, beautiful forest passages, and the magnificent panorama of the Wetterstein and Karwendel mountains. The centerpiece is the Plaikloipe, which rewards skiers after the first demanding climbs with beautiful descents and impressive views. On the panoramic trail towards Oberleutasch, there are further challenging climbs to tackle before reaching the turning point at the state road near Mundeknie. After the turn, there is one final, strenuous ascent before the route leads back to the finish via the forest trail.

The 47 km classic route is the 23.5 km loop of the Ganghoferlauf at double the length, making it the ultimate challenge for experienced classic skiers.

The 21 km skating route passes through the sunniest and most beautiful sections of the Leutaschtal. Starting from the beginning, it follows the gently ascending Lehnerschleife towards Oberleutasch, continuing over the challenging climbs at the skating center Moos up to the turn at the country road to Mundeknie. On the return journey, the Alpenbadloipe brings the runners back to the finish and ensures a successful conclusion.

The 42 km skating track crosses the entire Leutasch high valley at an elevation of 1,130 m. After the start, the route climbs gently via the Lehnerschleife before descending into the valley to Unterleutasch. From the lowest point, the path steadily rises towards Moos, where a challenging ascent awaits at the skating center. The turnaround point is at the state road at Mundeknie, followed by a short but powerful climb, before the route leads back to the finish via the Alpenbadloipe.

The 10 km fun course starts at Ganghoferbogen near the soccer field in Weidach and runs along flat trails towards Obern and back to the Wettersteinhalle. It is ideal for everyone who wants to experience competition for the first time. The preferred style is skating, but a classic track is also available for classic skiers.

The mini and special Ganghoferlauf tracks start and end at the Wettersteinhalle in Leutasch, allowing all participants – from young talents to runners on accessible routes – to cross the finish line under applause. Depending on the category, the loops run over the Alpenbad and Waldloipe.
