Chapels
The Gföll chapel looks back on a long history: Originally, it stood on the heavily frequented pilgrimage path from the Inn Valley to the Holy Blood in Seefeld. The open chapel, featuring a simple barrel vault, once housed the devotional image "Jesus bids farewell to his mother" from the late 18th century.
As part of the road construction, the original chapel was dismantled and rebuilt in 1968 at its current location in "Gföll" at the edge of Mösern. The simple furnishings include a cross and a prayer bench created by the Imster artist Elmar Kopp. Particularly noteworthy are the two stained glass windows by U. Rofner, which depict Saint George and Christ the King.
The chapel, roofed with wooden shingles, is still lovingly maintained and cared for by three families from Mösern today.
