Alpine pastures & huts
The Seebenalm is located at the end of the idyllic Gaistal valley at 1,575 metres above sea level. The mountain lake, which is only a few minutes' walk from the active alpine pasture, was recently voted one of the most beautiful places in Tyrol and is also welcome for a refreshing dip in summer. After a delicious stop on the sun terrace of the new rebuilt Seebenalm, you can relax comfortably on the shore and admire the reflection of the imposing Alpine scenery. With a view of the iconic Zugspitze, host Florian serves all kinds of Tyrolean delicacies and a variety of freshly tapped refreshments at the family-friendly alpine hut during the summer months. From the Seebenalm there are numerous tours into the surrounding countryside.
The ascent to the Seebenalm starts at the Salzbach car park in the Leutasch Gaistal valley and is also easily accessible by regional public transport (Leutasch/Salzbach bus stop). On wide gravel roads you hike through the alpine paradise Gaistal to the Seebenalm. The ascent is feasible both as a hike and as a bike tour. Alternatively, the ascent can be shortened to a leisurely one-hour hike via a gondola ride
