The winter in the Seefeld region truly has something enchanting about it. South of the Zugspitze, between the Wetterstein mountains and the Karwendel Nature Park, Tirol’s high plateau opens up at an altitude of 1,200 meters. Up here, the mountains provide extraordinary space to explore and enjoy the deep snow-covered winter landscape. It is no wonder that cross-country skiing, winter hiking, and alpine skiing on the sunny high plain become particularly beautiful experiences. A real insider tip is the Wildmoos area. Located on a hill between Seefeld, Leutasch, and Mösern, it is equally popular among cross-country skiers and winter hikers, offering its sparkling forests, sun-drenched clearings, and cozy huts, providing everything the heart desires.

But it's not just outdoor activities that are highly valued in the region. In its five small towns, great importance is placed on enjoyment, and one will be truly pampered everywhere: a cozy winter picnic with regional products, atmospherically lit Advent markets with Tyrolean delights, a seasonally influenced gourmet menu, or a steaming Kaiserschmarrn in front of a crackling fireplace in one of the cozy mountain huts – there are no culinary wishes left unfulfilled. The newly developed sauna world of the Alpenbad Leutasch also offers enjoyment for body and soul, inviting, like the numerous wellness areas of the hotels, warmly for relaxation, while fresh flakes drift down from the sky for the next winter day.

Tirol's high plateau lies between mountain and valley, at 1200 meters, in one of the most beautiful spots in the Alps, and yet it is quickly reached. And this without having to mount snow chains or painstakingly scrape off window ice. With three train stations – the largest one right in the center of Seefeld – and six bus lines, getting there by train becomes a breeze and ensures unrestricted mobility on site. The PlateauCard guest card serves as a ticket throughout the region and perfectly complements the public transport offer. Not least for this reason, the region has recently been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel. We are proud to offer truly sustainable tourism and thus protect our precious nature for future generations!
