The second stage of the Classic Karwendel Multi-day Hike leads from the Karwendelhaus to the Falkenhütte and showcases the Karwendel Nature Park from a particularly characteristic perspective. This route is defined by the idyllic Laliderertal Valley, the impressive Laliderer Wände rock faces and the Kleiner Ahornboden with its distinctive maple trees.

From the Karwendelhaus, the hike starts on a wide trail heading east up to the Hochalmsattel at 1,803 metres. The route then initially descends before a hiking trail branches off to the left into the Filztal Valley. Along the way, the vegetation becomes increasingly lush, with shrubs and trees lining the trail.

At the valley floor, the route reaches the Kleiner Ahornboden at 1,399 metres. Here you will find the Hermann von Barth memorial, which commemorates the famous mountaineer. With its old maple trees, the Kleiner Ahornboden is one of the scenic highlights of this
