Directions:
This cosy little winter walk starts directly at the Scharnitz Nature Park Information Centre and leads from there a short distance on the Hinterautal road northwards to the Maria Hilf parish church on the Innsbrucker Straße. Cross the main road here once and follow the Hirlanda-Ellmann path on the other side through the village to the next fork. Take a right and a left and then continue on the hiking trail along the river in a beautifully snow-covered landscape loop to Gießenbach.
In Gießenbach, of course, you can take a short break. Directly where you reach the small village on the hiking trail is the cosy Gasthof Ramona - for a quick snack or a warming hot drink.
