The Reither Moor is included in the nationwide Austrian project LIFE AMooRe – Austrian Moor Restoration. The aim of the project is to better protect moors in Austria and to highlight their importance for nature, climate, and biodiversity.
In order for the Reither Moor to be preserved in the long term, it also needs practical care on site. Therefore, we are looking for voluntary helpers who, together with professionals, will carry out minor work in the moor. Planned activities include care and renaturation measures such as the manual removal of emerging shrubs with pruning shears.
When & Where:
Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, each starting at 9:00 a.m.
Meeting point at parking lot P7 Wildsee / behind the Waldbad Sonja
Please bring:
- Long clothing
- Rubber boots
- Gloves
The work will be carried out under the guidance of the Nature Park Karwendel. Anyone who wants to help contributes actively to the preservation of a special natural space in our region. Every helping hand counts!
