The Leutasch Fishery
The fishing rights for the lake, the Weidachsee, and the stream, the Leutascher Ache, belong to Dr. Thomas Angerer. His fish farm is recognised as a quality business by the Chamber of Agriculture and specialises in the cultivation of trout, for breeding and for food, including river trout, rainbow trout and speckled trout. There is even a grilling service available should you wish to enjoy your catch there and then!

The lake is in a beautiful setting and for a nominal charge you can fish here from the beginning of April to the end of October. No reservation required. The fishing pond is very popular with beginners as you do not need a fishing licence and if you need to hire equipment, you can do that here too. The lake is also good for fly-fishing from the 400 m long wooden jetty.

Ice-fishing
Leutasch is gorgeous in winter, towered over by majestic mountains and with its forests and fields covered in deep layers of snow, sparkling in the sunshine. The lake, the Weidachsee, is in the middle of this beautiful landscape at 1,123 metres above sea level and when the water freezes, you can try your luck using a short ice-rod
