Memorials

At the parish and community boundary to Seefeld stands this well-known field cross, which likely got its name from a coat of paint. In earlier times, the lake reached up to the path and temporarily flooded it, connecting it with the Loba, the swamp, and the lake area north of the road. According to tradition, the cross is meant to remind us that Reither boys drowned here. They had tried to wade through during high water levels and lost the ground beneath their feet.
