The Seefeld plateau lies at the foot of Austria’s largest nature park and is surrounded by fantastic countryside. Guests have been enjoying peace and relaxation here for centuries and we have set ourselves the ambitious task to become really sustainable in order to protect the variety and vitality of the region and ensure that our children and grandchildren have a good standard of living.
Our strategy is based on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were defined in 2015 by all member states of the United Nations for the 2030 Agenda. The SDGs have global validity, but can also be developed through local projects.
While our aim is to embrace all the goals, we, as the Seefeld Tourist Board, can contribute to some more than others and have decided to concentrate on four specific aspects while supporting the other SDGs through the synergy effect.
Our focus is on: sustainable tourism (SDG 8), sustainable consumption and production (SDG 12), climate action (SDG 13) and bio-diversity (SDG 15) and we will incorporate these into our really sustainable projects.
To encourage you to adopt really sustainable measures too, we have prepared some guidelines on various topics which you can find in the “Downloads” below.
