Region Seefeld: Holder of the Austrian Eco-label "Österreichisches Umweltzeichen"

Awarded! We are the first region ever to receive the Austrian Ecolabel "Österreichisches Umweltzeichen" for Tourism Destinations. The official award of the seal of approval is made by the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK). The Austrian Eco-Label is considered a recognized certificate for making sustainable action tangible and measurable, as well as for creating sustainable awareness. "We are proud to be able to play a pioneering role here and to be the first to bear this prestigious mark," says TVB Managing Director Elias Walser. "You don't get the eco-label for destinations on your own, neither as a municipality nor as a tourism association. It is awarded to the region as a whole and only when all the players work together."

Honesty & transparency form the basis of each of our sustainability processes.

Genuinely Sustainable – Strategy

Our principles

Development framework – 2030 Agenda

Region Seefeld – Really Sustainable

We are guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030, which were recognized by (almost) all member states of the United Nations in 2015. The SDGs have global validity and set the guidelines for sustainable development processes. As the Seefeld Tourism Association, we are prioritizing four key goals by 2025 in order to make effective contributions by 2030: high quality education (SDG 4), policies for sustainable tourism (SDG 8), sustainable consumption and production patterns (SDG 12), far-reaching climate protection measures (SDG 13), protection and preservation of biodiversity (SDG 15) and partnerships for the goals (SDG 17). Through our "Really Sustainable" project, we encourage all tourism businesses in our region to implement ecological, economical and social improvement processes.
