This trail is freshly groomed every day. However, icy and slippery sections may still occur.
Trail Entry:
Via the C10 Mundeknie, shortly after crossing the road towards Muggenmoos, you will find the entrance to the B5 Katzenloch trail.
Trail Character:
At the beginning, there is a steep and strenuous ascent over the Mundeknie, which is well worth the effort.
The trail then continues comfortably and beautifully through the forest to the Buchener Höhe, past two charming treehouses, and to the Ropferstub’m, where you can enjoy a cozy stop. After the Ropferstub’m, there is another short ascent before a pleasantly gentle descent back to the Moos parking lot. From there, you can take a dedicated trail to stop at Ahorn – Genuss am Zottlhof. The trail is a lovely route at the foot of the Hohe Munde between Buchen and Moos, offering stunning panoramic views of the Inntal and spectacular vistas of the surrounding mountains.
Connecting Trails:
A5 Obern and C10 Mundeknie
