Hämmermooslam

Closed today

The cosy Hämmermoosalm (1.417m) is managed all year round and is also easy to reach for families. Four different dining rooms offer space for up to 200 people. In the summer months the spacious sun terrace is also available for private parties on request. Lazy summer evenings with a panoramic view of the Mieminger Kette can sometimes be long and cosy here. During the winter season from December to the end of March, a family-friendly natural toboggan run leads from the hut down into the valley. In summer, from the beginning of May to the end of October, numerous hikes and (e-)bike tours (loading possibility) in the picturesque Wetterstein Mountains attract visitors. Among connoisseurs and gourmets, the famous giant schnitzels and salads have now become legends. Family tip: During the summer months you can watch foals and calves on lush alpine meadows at the Hämmermoosalm and let experienced hands show you how to milk them. Sometimes you can also meet the harp player Albert on the alpine pasture, who knows how to add a musical accompaniment to the cosy atmosphere.
