In the deep snowy winter months, tobogganing enthusiasts can reach the picturesque Hämmermoosalm on broadly cleared hiking trails directly from the last "Salzbach" car park in the Gaistal. The beginner- and family-friendly ascent takes about 30 minutes through wildly romantic woodlands to the rustic stop-off point at 1417 metres above sea level. Here you sometimes meet the harp player Albert, who plays regional delicacies and steaming hot drinks in the wooden alpine hut. The two-kilometre-long downhill run is freshly prepared in the morning with fresh snow and thus guarantees optimal conditions for tobogganing enthusiasts of all ages. Alternatively, you can also take a horse-drawn carriage ride up the mountain - wildly romantic through the winter wonderland.
Sonja von der Hämmermoosalm will tell you more about the harp player and toboggan run in person: Call +43 676 333 7000 or send an e-mail to sonja@haemmermoosalm.at
