Mountain Spring Days

Memorable mountain walks, culinary delights and everything there is to know about the local countryside and the wild herbs that grow there are just a few of the ‘ingredients’ that go into making this event in the Leutasch Valley so very popular. Hans and Monika Bantl, guides for the days, share their treasure trove of local knowledge, supported by experts from various walks of life.

Sunday, 04.06.2023
5 p.m. "Light welcome hike". We hike through the Mähder on the Upper and Lower Wiesenweg and end the evening together.
Meeting point: parking lot at Gasthof Kühtaierhof in Kirchplatzl.

Monday, 05.06.2023
10 a.m. "Visit to the Zottlhof". We learn interesting facts about the Scottish Highland cattle and the close-to-nature agriculture, which is managed in the cycle of nature. Hand-mown mountain herbs are processed into unique products. We discover the hay-scented palate pleasures of the Tyrolean hay dream as tea, liqueur, syrup and much more.
Registration required on Sunday, 04 June 2023 with Monika and Hans (or on previous days from Monday to Friday in the information office Leutasch).
Meeting point: parking lot Moos Rödlach (P11, fee required)

Tuesday, 06.06.2023
8 a.m.  Breakfast in the "GREEN". Freshly brewed coffee, bread, butter and jam as well as bacon and eggs from the pan from the open fire. Registration required until Monday, 05 June 2023, 17.00 in the information office Leutasch.
Contribution towards expenses: € 20,-.
Meeting point: parking lot Moos Rödlach (P11, fee required).

Wednesday, 07.06.2023
10 a.m. "HERB TABLE in the open air!" We will learn from the well-known herb farmer Gertrude Messner a lot about the use of wild herbs that grow on the spot. For refreshment there will be a (non-alcoholic) herbal punch and "g'sunds zum Essen".
Registration required until Tuesday, 06 June 2023, 17:00 in the information office Leutasch.
Contribution towards expenses: € 20,-.
Meeting point: parking lot Moos Rödlach (P11, fee required).

Thursday, 08.06.2023
9.30 a.m. "Corpus Christi Mass" in the parish church of Oberleutasch followed by a procession (weather permitting).
4.30 p.m.   Evening hike in Moos followed by a stop for refreshments.
Meeting point: parking lot Munde Rauthhütte (P18, fee required).

Friday, 09.06.2023
10.00 a.m. "Spring hike along the river". We hike leisurely along the Ache and learn about the cycle of water. The Leutascher Ache is one of the cleanest flowing waters in Tyrol. It flows from Leutasch-Isar-Danube into the Black Sea. Afterwards common stop for refreshments.
Meeting point: Parking lot soccer field (P21, fee required).

Through the week you will be accompanied by Hans and Monika Bantl!
