Route description: Initially, start from the Nördlinger Hütte heading east, but soon follow the path northwards below the eastern precipices of the Reither Spitze and later follow the path eastwards to the Ursprungsattel (2087 m). Do not head towards the Freiungstürme here, but follow the path descending to the northeast. At the Breiten Sattel (1794 m), turn right onto trail 74 towards the Eppzirler Scharte. After crossing the large scree field of the Kuhljoch and completing a few serpentines of ascent, you reach the Eppzirler Scharte (2102 m). From here, descend about 200m through the Höllkar, which is filled with limestone gravel (trail 212), and then follow trail 211/212, in recurring ups and downs, to the Solsteinhaus.
