The natural tobogganing track at Mühlberg in Scharnitz is a little-known gem for sledding enthusiasts. The ascent begins approximately 500 meters west of the Mühlberg parking lot (P4).

The toboggan track gently leads slightly to the left, taking about an hour to reach the summit of Mühlberg at 1,318 meters above sea level. From the top, you’re treated to stunning views over Scharnitz, the Ahrnspitzen, Brunnensteinspitze, and Karwendelspitze. The final steep stretch of the climb becomes the launch point for the 3.1-kilometer descent back into the valley.

This scenic ride doesn’t just cover 340 meters of elevation loss with an average gradient of 12.6%—it also features some thrilling curves along the way. A steady hand and good control are essential for this track.
