Route: Parking lot Brunnsteinhütte - Isarsteg - Brunnsteinhütte

Parking and public transport:
Parking Brunnsteinhütte (located on the B2 in the direction of Mittenwald) or alternatively P1 "Ried".
By train to Scharnitz train station (10 minutes walk to P1).
You can find all connections in real time with the Mobility-App "wegfinder".

From the parking lot Brunnsteinhütte: cross the main road and walk a short distance pathless along the railroad line in the direction of Mittenwald. After about 100 m turn right over the railroad line into the field path and follow this at the junction, again to the right. After a short time, the path to the Brunnsteinhütte branches off to the left below the material cable car, well signposted.

From P1 Ried: First in the direction of Mittenwald, directly at the 1st junction keep right. After a short time, turn right again and cross the Isarsteg until you reach the B2 federal road. Cross it slightly to the right in the direction of the railroad crossing. Continue over the railroad line and follow the forest road in the direction of Mittenwald. Turn right at the fork and immediately left again, as described above, following the signs, on a well-marked path, to the Brunnsteinhütte (1,560 m). At the second bench, it is worth a small detour to the left to the suspension bridge over the Sulzleklamm.
For the hike directly from Scharnitz, about half an hour more time must be planned.
