Directions:
This beautiful short lake circuit leads in a winterly walking loop from the historic Seefeld village square around the Wildsee and back again.
From the starting point at the church of St. Oswald in the center of the village, you walk southwards along the colorful paintings on the house facades to the next large road junction. Follow the southern bypass to the right for a while until the sidewalk turns left to the lake promenade.
From here, the winter hiking trail now turns through picturesque lakeside landscapes to the nearby edge of the forest, where you can also meet countless squirrels in winter. After the small woodland section, the lake hiking track leads through open terrain and finally takes the other lakeside back to the starting point of the winter circuit at the church in the center.
During the winter months there is also a Christmas market at the Seefeld church square with fresh Kiachl, mulled wine, punch and other seasonal specialties. Those who prefer to sit in the warm after the round, however, will also find cosy inns and excellent traditional businesses in the pedestrian zone. For the after-dinner walk a short tour to the Pfarrhügel (ascent from the village square to the left of the church) with a view over Seefeld and the winterly Wildsee is recommended.
