Things to see in winter

In Reith you can really enjoy the winter - either directly from the hotel door into the snow or by bus and train to the whole region. A wide, cleared forest winter hiking trail to Seefeld also runs alongside the Karwendelbahn cable car. From the Enzian Hütte you can simply strap on your snowshoes and explore the Gschwandtkopf and the Reitherjoch Alm. It is also quiet and atmospheric around Christmas, when the Reith clubs invite you to mulled wine, punch and kiachl in the village or the Krampuslauf organised by the Reither Bergtuifl stages traditional customs. Then in the evening, people gather around the crackling fireplace, listen to old village tales and perhaps get inspired about the next winter adventure.
