Gravel biking
Big loop, big scenery: this demanding circuit around the Wetterstein Mountains combines long gravel climbs, panoramic forest roads and varied sections between Tyrol and Bavaria. Flowing stretches along the Leutascher Ache, alpine highlights such as the Ehrwalder Alm, the Zugspitze and the River Isar, as well as plenty of nature away from busy roads, make this tour especially appealing. Ideal for fit gravel riders looking for distance, challenge and a true outdoor feeling.
The panoramic and only slightly ascending forest path begins at the Salzbach car park and runs along the Leutascher Ache, past the Gaistal- & Tillfussalm in the direction of Seebensee / Ehrwald. Shortly after the Iglsee the forest road branches off, keep right here and follow the steep forest road to the Ehrwalder Alm. From the Ehrwalder Alm it is mostly downhill, the Ganghoferstraße to the centre of Ehrwald. Follow
