Directions:

This entertaining and family-friendly hike leads (either from the information hut at the entrance to the Gaistal across the Leutascher Ache and upstream to the Hämmermoosalm trail sign), or from the last (fee) hiking parking lot at the Salzbach (P3-5) directly to the hut ascent.

The ascent is relaxed and leads along a wide hiking trail to the cozy Hämmermoosalm at 1,417 meters. There, the delicious traditional cuisine serves all kinds of delicacies and seasonal specialties, while aromatic house brandies also warm the heart on request.

Take the same path back to the starting point. (Alternatively, you can hike further to the Gaistalalm (1,366m) and then back.)
