Wildsee Lake in Winter
The Wildsee – also known as Seefeld Lake – is a tranquil lake that reveals its quiet, magical side in winter. Surrounded by snow-covered walking paths and a scenic winter landscape, it lies embedded in the impressive alpine backdrop of the Region Seefeld – Tirols Hochplateau. Located right next to the pedestrian zone and close to the train station, the lake is a perfect starting point for gentle winter walks. Well-cleared paths invite you to soak up the stillness – ideal for switching off, breathing deeply, and simply enjoying the view.

100.000 Lights Trail: View of the Wildsee
For a particularly scenic view of the Wildsee, head to the nearby Pfarrhügel hill. Nestled between the picturesque lake and the village’s pedestrian zone, this charming little landmark offers a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountain landscape. The view is especially atmospheric in winter – best enjoyed on a stroll along the festively illuminated 100.000 Lights Trail.
Easy to Reach
Getting to the Wildsee
The Wildsee is very easy and convenient to reach. We recommend arriving by public transport via Seefeld train station – from there, it’s just a relaxed 5-minute walk to the lake, ideally through the charming pedestrian zone. With your guest card, you can use all regional public buses for free during your stay. It also includes train travel between Seefeld and Scharnitz as well as rides on the Wildmoosbus.
