Hiking through the mountain summer at 1,200 metres

Walking in the Region Seefeld

At an altitude of 1,200 metres, the peaks are closer, the views more expansive and the hiking trails start right at the hotel door. Even the sun sparkles longer over the Hohe Munde, the Wetterstein and Karwendel mountains – after all, on Tyrol's high plateau you are already starting out in the heart of the mountains rather than down in the valley! A simply breathtaking variety of nature stretches between the peaks: all in all, there are over 1,000,000,000m² of unspoiled Alpine landscapes to discover around the five towns of Seefeld, Leutasch, Mösern, Reith and Scharnitz.

So get your hiking boots on, head out of the door and into nature: cool forests and lush meadows, thunderous waterfalls and crystal-clear mountain lakes – there's bound to be a hut around the next corner! Would you rather do an enjoyable hike with seven alpine pastures or a Karwendel tour lasting several days? Be as free, as wild and as wonderful as our nature! And as respectful and grateful for it as we are.

By the way, all the hiking destinations in the region can also be reached in a completely car-free way by public transport. The bus and train will take you to the start in comfort and will also be waiting for you at the finish. About a quarter of the trails can be walked all year round, and in the winter season they are cleared and gritted for comfortable hikes through sparkling snowy landscapes.
