Truly Diverse
Wildsee Lake in Summer
The Wildsee – also known as Lake Seefeld – is a beautiful natural lake in the Region Seefeld, surrounded by moorland, forest, and impressive Alpine scenery. Just steps from the pedestrian zone and the train station, this tranquil lake invites you to walk, swim, unwind, or enjoy a wide range of activities.
In summer, two public bathing areas offer classic lakeside fun: Waldbad Sonja is set at the edge of the forest and features a sun deck, direct lake access, a playground, and the cozy Café Sonja. At the front of the lake, Strandperle welcomes guests with a café-restaurant, a heated outdoor pool, and a separate area for kids. Whether you're diving into the lake or enjoying the warm pool, water lovers are well taken care of – while children can play to their heart’s content on the playground.
For active guests, there’s mini golf & pit-pat, beach volleyball, and pedal boats. You can even explore the lake on a stand-up paddleboard if you bring your own. A public Kneipp facility rounds off the lakeside nature and wellness experience.

Easy to Reach
Getting to the Wildsee
The Wildsee is very easy and convenient to reach. We recommend arriving by public transport via Seefeld train station – from there, it’s just a relaxed 5-minute walk to the lake, ideally through the charming pedestrian zone. With your guest card, you can use all regional public buses for free during your stay. It also includes train travel between Seefeld and Scharnitz as well as rides on the Wildmoosbus. Outside of this, standard VVT fares apply. (More info here.)
