The Most Beautiful Hikes in Spring on Tyrol's High Plateau
Every year the snow melts, every year the crocuses come out, and every year we say goodbye to skiing and sledding for a few months. It’s not an easy farewell, that’s for sure. Luckily, this – almost like in a relay race – is replaced by spring feelings! The sun warms, the meadows bloom, and the first hikes lead through a nature that slowly awakens. To make the best use of the time between winter and summer, we have compiled a selection of tours that showcase spring in Tyrol at its best: blooming meadows, clear views, and paths that are already accessible early in the season. These spring hikes take you through colorful landscapes and along the most scenic routes of the Seefeld region – Tyrol’s high plateau.

- Please pay attention to the current weather conditions. Depending on the conditions, some trails may not be completely free of snow. You can find cleared and marked winter hiking trails here.
- Most alpine pastures and huts in the region open from mid-May. Therefore, check in advance if your planned place to stop is already open. An overview of open alpine pastures and huts can be found here.
Blossoms, Forest, and Water
1. To the Möserer See, where spring becomes noticeable
Highlights: The iconic Seekirchl in the spring light, delicate birch meadows along the way, tranquil forest and field passages, view of Arena365 with the distinctive WM Tower and the Toni Seelos Ski Jumps

Highlights: Fresh green of larches around the Gschwandtkopf, wide views into the Inn Valley and quiet paths with gentle spring flair

3. Spring Walk around Wildsee, Pfarrhügel & Seekirchl
Highlights: A walk through blooming nature along the Wildsee, Pfarrhügel, and the historic Seekirchl. With a bit of luck, you might encounter Squirrels or observe ducks by the lakeshore – the pedestrian zone invites you to stroll and linger.

Important Note: The Leutascher Geisterklamm is passable from spring onwards depending on weather conditions (usually starting in May)
