A Tyrolean winter at an Olympian level

A Tyrolean winter at an Olympian level

Things to see in winter

Seefeld has already hosted the Olympics three times – and it has not just left its mark on the snow. There are more than 245 perfectly groomed kilometres of cross-country ski trails, state-of-the-art Nordic sports and snow-making facilities and an almost fanatical love of cross-country skiing. Beginners have long been able to get on the trails directly at the Seekirchl, practise their first steps or even try their hand at biathlon in the Seefeld Sports Arena. The four ski areas Rosshütte, Gschwandtkopf, Geigenbühel and Birkenlift offer mainly blue and red slopes, while a variety of winter hiking trails and cosy huts await all around Seefeld.

The historic centre of the village is home to a casino, small shops and cafés, as well as impressive festivals, events and customs. The gala concerts at the Klingenden Advent, goose bumps at the Krampustreiben, presents at the entrance of St. Nicholas, amazement at the classic car trophy Coppa delle Alpi, top-class sport at the FIS Nordic Combined Triple World Cup and – in passing – one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in the Tyrol.
