Really excellent: Toque blessing for the restaurants of the Region Seefeld

The new gourmet guide "Gault & Millau 2020" is here and brings a real bonanza for our region. The best restaurants in Austria have been ennobled and 4 restaurants in the Region Seefeld receive a total of 9 toques from the gourmet guide. We are pleased to be the excellent culinary hotspot of the Alps at 1,200 meters.

Restaurant ZOMM. at the Meilerhof

"Zomm." stands for sustainability in the collective. And it is precisely this teamwork that has now been awarded 2 toques. The restaurant in the most beautiful panoramic location in Reith bei Seefeld relies on the highest quality products from the region from the field, the forest, the lake and their own garden. Seasonal dishes are served on the plate. Fresh and pure, simple but not simplistic. You can enjoy the award-winning cuisine in the spacious restaurant, in one of the cozy parlors or on the sun terrace with priceless views over the Inn Valley and the surrounding mountains.

Interalpen Chef’s Table

The restaurant Interalpen Chef's Table has received no less than 4 toques, the most in the entire region. Throughout Austria, there are only 38 restaurants that have been awarded 4 toques. Anyone sitting at the Chef's Table immediately tastes why the restaurant has been so generously awarded. Mario Döring wields the wooden spoon here and spoils guests with an eight-course menu. He particularly likes to bring ingredients from his own herb garden onto the plate: thyme, sage, woodruff and lavender are mixed with native plant species such as elderberry or wood sorrel to create new and surprising dishes. Flower pollen also likes to land on the plates. The suitably selected wines round off the great menu perfectly.

Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol

Not only the Chef's Table, also the Hotel Interalpen was awarded. The hotel kitchen has been awarded 2 toques, making it one of the most exclusive restaurants in the region. A six-course menu of choice, excellent theme buffets and a gala dinner on Sunday evening await the guests. Culinary delights can be enjoyed in six cozy parlors, and the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains in the winter garden (almost) distracts from the heavenly food.

Alpine Resort Sacher Seefeld – Tyrol

The cuisine of the Alpine Resort Sacher Seefeld – Tyrol has been awarded a Gault Millau toque for the 11th time in a row. Head Chef Andreas Rank, Sous Chef Benedict Jakob and their team conjure up the most delicious creations for their guests. Light and digestible for the palate and for the eye should be their gourmet highlights. The ingredients come from the region and are processed seasonally. Day guests are also welcome in the restaurant to enjoy the award-winning cuisine.

If you would like to try Andreas' and Benedict's creations for yourself, here is a Christmas treat recipe: "Baked Apple à la Alpin Resort Sacher Seefeld – Tyrol" from them.

More top restaurants in Tyrol: The hosts of the Culinarium Alpentraum

Not only the hood restaurants, but also many other top restaurants make the Region Seefeld the culinary hotspot of the Alps at 1200 meters. These include the hosts of the Culinarium Alpentraum, who quite rightly call themselves "hosts with passion". They are an association of 7 restaurants that cook at the highest level. Among them, by the way, is also the Zomm. in Reith near Seefeld. The hosts of the Culinarium are committed to regional and sustainable cuisine and conjure up a first-class gourmet event every summer that is hard to top. In 2018, they spread out their "Tischlein deck' dich" in a flower meadow in the Leutasch Valley, and in 2019 they convinced guests of their cooking skills on a balmy summer night in Reith.
