Relax on Tyrol's high plateau
Golden moments: 7 things you can only experience in autumn on Tyrol's high plateau
We like to refer to autumn on Tyrol's high plateau as the golden season. But this is not just a saying – it can be backed up with solid evidence! Don't believe us? Then come with us on a journey through seven unique moments that are worth their weight in gold.
Forest wellness in the larch forests
A study by MedUni Vienna proves that spending just 20 minutes in the forest reduces stress and makes our brains happy. When it comes to the golden larch forests of Reith and Leutasch, this effect is significantly enhanced. The soft autumn light that filters through the branches and warms our faces. The tranquillity accompanied only by the melody of birdsong. Pure gold.

Forest bathing & forest wellness
The forest: Forest bathing is based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku. The trend has reached Europe and is being implemented for the first time in the Tyrol region by Verena Hiltpolt.
Of ghosts and family outings
Let's be honest, every good treasure hunt involves ghosts or mythical creatures. This is also the case on the treasure hunt through the Leutasch Spirit Gorge. The combination of dizzying heights and family friendliness gives this gorge its unique charm. Not to mention the deep blue water and the beautiful natural surroundings.

Unique wellness moments
Classic wellness is all well and good. But we go one step further. In the Seefeld region, there are wellness experiences that you won't find anywhere else. Ever tried a Russian sauna? Tyrol's only ‘banya’ is a real insider tip among sauna fans. And if you're a fan of liquid gold, you'll quickly find the end of the rainbow in Seefeld. Whether from the beer tap at the Hotel Klosterbräu or the beer vat at the Hotel Diana.

Almost forgotten, yet so beautiful
From rejuvenating treasures, we move on to almost forgotten ones. At the craft fair in Seefeld's pedestrian zone, you can take a trip back in time. Almost forgotten craft techniques, vintage tractors, traditional costumes, dance and music. They all come to life in Seefeld in autumn. A huge two-day festival with 1,500 participants is waiting to be discovered by you.

Golden hour, but better
How would you feel if you just wanted to enjoy the sunset, but there was a 10-tonne metal structure hovering above you? I'll tell you how you would feel. Liberated, calm and wistful. That's the effect of the view from the Peace Bell in Mösern. When the sun sets over the Tyrolean Oberland and gives the rugged peaks a farewell kiss, it's pure gold. But don't forget your sunglasses.

Farm Shop Tour
Following the example of the gold mining routes of earlier days, Leutasch now has a trail where you can find real gold. Fresh bacon, mature cheese, homemade Swiss stone pine cushions. Fresh products – straight from the farmer – with unbeatable quality. You will find 30 regional producers, pleasant hiking trails, countless moments of enjoyment and even a few encounters with animals. Simply worth its weight in gold.

Alice in Wonderland
Travel journalist Michael Mastarciyan once described the golfing experience in Seefeld as an ‘Alice in Wonderland moment’. Such a moment describes a situation in which you suddenly find yourself in a surreal, unexpected or rule-breaking reality. And that is exactly the experience you have here at Wildmoos. It is not without reason that the course is one of the leading golf courses in the world. The natural surroundings up here are perfect for creating golden memories.
