Spring tips: The most beautiful places in spring
Colorful flower meadows, plenty of sunshine, and mild temperatures: spring is finally here! Where is the best place to enjoy the warm spring sun? On which paths can one already herald the hiking season? And where are the most beautiful crocus and flower meadows hiding? We have summarized the best spring tips for you!
Start of the hiking season: Around the Gschwandtkopf
Finally, the hiking season is back in full swing! While there's still (too) much snow higher up, you can already unpack your hiking boots down on the plateau. Our tip for the first hike of the year: The loop around the Gschwandkopf. It takes you past Seefeld, Mösern, and Reith – and thus over particularly many flower meadows and through the woods, where the birds chirp loudly and cheerfully. A real insider tip for spring!
Spring tour around Lake Wildsee
We can't mention it often enough: The Wildsee is simply a favorite spot! In spring, you'll get a lot of sunshine while walking around the lake, and the squirrels are already active again, while nature is really blossoming in the Reither Moor. A must for families in spring!
Picnic at Möserer See
The same applies to the Möserer See - it is worth a visit at any time of the year. Tip: In spring, you can have a cozy picnic on the walkway or by the lake shore and enjoy especially many sun rays.
Sundowner at Ropferstub'm
We love that the days are finally getting longer and you can catch some sun even after work! In the evening and on weekends, the Ropferstub’m near Mösern-Buchen is a real dream spot: thanks to its location over 1,000 m above sea level and the view towards the west, you can still catch the very last rays of sunshine here. And all this with a breathtaking view of the Hohe Munde and the Inn Valley.
Sunbathing in Reith
Reith is located on the southern edge of the high plateau, giving it an exceptionally sunny location. The snow therefore melts here earlier than in the other places, making way for vast, green meadows full of flowers and bees. Wherever you are in Reith – you are truly well accommodated everywhere in spring! Our recommendation: during a hike on the Panorama Path circular walk, you can experience plenty of sunshine, fresh air, and the best views.
Along the Leutascher Ache
After a long winter, you just want to spend the whole day soaking up vitamin D! You can do this on a walk along the Leutascher Ache. The path is wonderfully cozy, and families will feel comfortable too – bring a small picnic with you, so you don't run out of energy at the adventure playground right along the path by the Ache.
Spring hike in the Gaistal
In late spring, when the days are getting longer and the sun is higher, the Gaistal is the place to be. Tip: until the huts are open again, bring your own snacks. Or just stop by one of the restaurants in Leutasch afterwards.
Spring Messengers: Crocuses and Flower Meadows
The first signs of the end of winter are the crocuses. They sprout in violet and white colors from the ground within a very short time – providing fantastic photography opportunities. The crocus meadows in Leutasch near the Church of St. Magdalena, in Unterleutasch, and in Reith on the meadow next to the Seefeld-Wildmoos golf course are particularly beautiful. When the crocuses have faded, but a colorful variety of flowers shines on the meadows, the meadows in Mösern are particularly spectacular.
