The 6 most scenic bike tours in the Seefeld region
Today it's about the real reason why we all really get on our bikes. Not because pedaling is so great. Not even because the wind in our face is so nice. It's the views that later end up in the photo album & the dumplings that carry us to those views. The following 6 tours include the most beautiful panoramas to be seen from the bike in the Seefeld region (including places to stop).
1. The number 1 in viewpoints per drop of sweat
We start with the mother of all viewpoints. It is the Brunschkopf viewing platform 300 meters above Seefeld. On clear days, the eye can see five different mountain ranges, including the impressive Hohe Munde. The sun loungers and the binoculars on the platform are not the only reward for the moderate ascent. On the 281 meters of elevation, it goes largely through quiet, dense forests, which guarantee great driving pleasure. For refreshment and/or strengthening, I recommend a short detour to the Möserer See.
- Highlights: Wildmoos, Viewing Platform Brunschkopf, detour to Lake Möserer
- Dining options: Möserer Seestub'n
2. Two like Peas in a Pod
Known as a hiking paradise, the Gaistal in Leutasch is equally a bike paradise. In addition to the countless huts, there is a very beautiful cycling route. Those who take on the entire journey will find one of the most beautiful views in Tyrol ahead. 14 kilometers and 561 meters of elevation gain are no walk in the park, but doable with a motor. The good news: In Gaistal, the snack breaks are both frequent and deliciously forbidden. At the end of the tour, you will have the agony of choice. Conquer the steep last ascent to the Seebensee with your bike or leave the bicycle for the last few meters at the Seebenalm. Either way, you will be rewarded with a super impressive panorama. This can only be topped if you continue to the approximately 250 meters higher Drachensee and observe the whole spectacle from above.
- Highlights: Gaistal, Seebensee, optional extension to Drachensee
- Dining options: Gaistalalm, Tillfussalm, Seebenalm; with extension to Drachensee: Coburger Hütte
3. About Cats and Sunsets
Same starting point, different direction. This time we are heading to the other side of the Hohe Munde and hunting for the legendary Inntalblick. What begins with a crossing of the turquoise Leutascher Ache leads us through mild forests and finally through the picturesque Katzenloch. Sounds wild, but it is beautiful. This tour is also well-suited for e-bikes with its 472 meters of elevation. No matter how you arrive at your destination – the Ropferstub’m – the view from this spot is unique. Especially at sunset, when the sun bids farewell over the Inntal and the Inn begins to sparkle. Always a special moment.
- Highlights: Kneipp facility and water features Salzbach, Leutascher Ache, Katzenloch, Inntal view, Natural Kneipp facility Ropferstub'm
- Dining options: Mundestadl, Ropferstub'm
4. Bees, Mountain Air & Alpine Dreams
This tour starts in Reith and takes you on gentle curves up to the Reitherjoch Alm – about 370 meters of elevation filled with forest scent, wide views, and anticipation. Right at the beginning, the Bee Trail hums along beside you, before the path gradually transitions into alpine terrain. When you reach the top, a reward awaits: a panorama that makes you forget the effort, and at the hut itself, homemade dumplings and cakes that could become addictive. A true insider tip for all who prefer to experience pleasure and nature together.
- Highlights: Bienenlehrpfad, View from the Rosshütte over Seefeld
- Places to Eat: Reitherjoch Alm
5. Surrounded by Beauty
Let's come to the newcomer in the group. Since summer 2025, this route can officially also be cycled! A true blessing, as this bike tour is perfect for a day trip with a dream destination. Easily accessible by train, this route takes you upstream through the beautiful Gießenbach Valley. After a short climb through shady wooded areas, you are already on the home stretch. The Eppzirler Alm and the associated Almboden come straight out of a storybook and will leave you in awe. I give you a task: Search for the Eppzirler Alm on Google Maps and see how it is surrounded by mountain peaks and cliff walls. In real life, it's a thousand times more impressive.
- Highlights: Gießenbachtal & Eppzirl in Karwendel
- Possible dining options: Eppzirler Alm, Gasthof Ramona
6. Church Mouse & Catapult
We conclude the list here with an absolute classic. The Hämmermoosalm is the first alpine meadow in the Gaistal and it lives up to its premium status. Recently named Alm Lodge of the Year 2025, it is a favorite among locals and tourists alike. At first, you might feel small as a church mouse under the massive rock formation of the Hohe Munde, until the fantastic dumplings on the sun terrace catapult you to unparalleled culinary heights. Only those who haven’t experienced this themselves would consider this statement exaggerated. These heights can be easily reached with just 171 meters of elevation gain and do not necessarily require an e-bike. It is worth starting the journey to Hämmermoos a bit earlier, as the sunny spots up here can be quickly taken.
- Highlights: Gaistal, Leutascher Ache, Kneippanlage Salzbach
- Places to eat: Hämmermoosalm
