FLEXIBLE WITH THE E-BIKE
A tour report with power: Cross-country skier Lisa Unterweger out and about with the e-bike
The myth that e-bikes are only for non-athletic people has long been proven false. On the contrary: many athletes happily use the e in bike for their tours and training. Lisa Unterweger, an Austrian cross-country skier, was out with her family on her e-bike during her training camp. The conclusion? Really cool, such an e-bike! In the blog, she describes her tour for us to follow.
A delight for everyone: E-bikes for elite athletes and the whole family
During my last training camp in Seefeld, I had a really great experience. With the e-bike, I discovered the most beautiful places in the region together with my family. Many ask me why I need an e-bike as a competitive athlete. But I can really recommend the e-bike to you. Even for me, it is a help because it allows me to climb the steepest ascents even in the lowest heart rate zone. And on top of that, it’s just so much fun!
The e-bike also makes it possible for the whole family to go on a tour together. Everyone can decide for themselves how much "e" they need additionally. This way, my parents, my sister, my friend Tobias Habenicht, who is also a professional cross-country skier, and I were able to explore the region together. I took the opportunity to show my family the wonderful Seefeld, which they had only known from winter and the competitions before. The weather was perfect, everyone had a bike, and so the adventure could begin.

E-Bike Tour with Lisa Unterweger
From Seefeld via Mösern to Lake Möserer
We started from Hotel Bergland over the Pfarrhügel to the WM-Arena. From there we took the bike path towards Mösern and continued to our first small destination, the Möserer See. Upon arrival, everyone was very excited. The lake has an idyllic location amidst the mountains, and apart from us there were a few other visitors and hikers enjoying the lake - even a swimmer did not let the late-summer-fresh temperatures stop him from cooling off.
To Lottensee, Wildsee and Wildmoosalm
After the first short stop, we followed the cycle path towards Lottensee. It is aperiodic, meaning it is not always "visible". For me, it was the first time it was filled with water, although now at the end of the season, there is only a little left. A quick photo stop and we continued past the Seefeld-Wildmoos golf club with great views towards the next destination. That was the Wildmoossee, another natural phenomenon and always a wow experience for me. I know it from winter, but even in summer, it resembles a picture book and is worth a visit. Afterwards, we continued to the Wildmoosalm, where we turned towards our final destination.

From Wildmoosalm to Leutasch and back to Seefeld
From Wildmoosalm we then headed towards Leutasch. We cycled over Katzenkopf with beautiful views to Leutasch, a sunny high valley with many lovely houses and squares. From there, we took the Fludertal back to Wildmoosalm. From there, we took the fastest way back to the hotel, where dinner was already waiting for us.
My conclusion: Just really beautiful!
This round took us about 2 hours. Of course, with some breaks to admire the wonderful places. If you take more breaks and prefer a more relaxed pace, you should plan for up to 4 hours. We all had a lot of fun. Thanks to the Cube E-Bikes, we could experience everything together. Give it a try! There will definitely be a next time for us!
